NYHIMA Seminars & Webinars
The New York Health Information Management Association strives to offer a well-balanced schedule of programs of interest to professionals involved with the management of health information.
NYHIMA offers a year-round calendar of educational events plus an Annual Conference each June that features an excellent three-day educational program, specialty tracks in coding and long term care, and exhibits by HIM-related businesses.
NYHIMA seeks to promote the art and science of health information management in the State of New York, through education, and to ensure the quality of comprehensive health information services to benefit the public, the health consumer, providers, and other users of clinical data.
Call for Presentations: You are invited to submit a presentation proposal for the Education Calendar. The NYHIMA Education Committee develops the calendar of audio/webinars and face-to-face educational events held at various locations across New York State. Completed proposals will be evaluated using the following criteria:
- Relevance to the HIM profession
- Timeliness of the topic
- Practical application of content
- Innovativeness/originality of content
- Clarity of focus
- History of presentation skills
NYHIMA's face-to-face, on-site seminars and mini-conferences give attendees the opportunity to network with peers while interacting with speakers whose expertise is highly respected and recognized in the profession. These programs are offered in both the upstate and downstate geographic areas to provide accessibility to as many HIM professionals as possible.
COST: Registration fees are structured to reflect the actual costs involved in holding on-site educational events. The price differences among seminars are the result of host site, food/beverage and speaker costs related to each specific event. Every effort has been made to keep the costs of these events affordable for every member.
NYHIMA’s audio/webinars allow you to dial directly into these live presentations from your work or home environment. No travel required and one price enables as many coworkers to participate as can be accommodated on a single phone line and computer. Otherwise, get a discounted rate for multiple phone lines.
If you missed or have a schedule conflict with a live audio/webinar, then register anyway and request access to the recording and handout. Listen as often as you like and any time day or night.
COST: NYHIMA’s webinar are the very best value. Our webinar fees are a fraction of the fees charged by national educational providers.
- All NYHIMA education events offer online Registration and Payment with an offline payment option.
