Terms of Use
Members of NYHIMA and its locals are expected to abide by the AHIMA Code of Ethics, demonstrating respectful and professional behavior at all times.
Access to information displayed in the Members Only area is a benefit and privilege of membership and is intended solely to facilitate communication among HIM professionals who belong to the Association.
Unacceptable use of information accessible through the directories includes the following:
- for any illegal or unauthorized purpose
- for transmission of threatening, obscene, or harassing material
- for distribution of advertising materials or products
- for propagation of computer worms or viruses
- for personal profit or gain
- for distribution of chain letters, broadcasting messages to lists or individuals, or other types of use that causes congestion or otherwise interferes with the work of others
- for development of a list of contacts for personal use
Instances of unacceptable use should be reported by email to memberservices@nyhima.org for investigation. If it is determined by NYHIMA that an infraction has occurred, the reported member will be immediately blocked from access to the Members Only area.
