This session focuses on deeper clinical analysis, collaborative problem-solving, and translating record review findings into actionable CDI practice improvements.

Working in small groups, attendees will finalize their review of higher-complexity cases, identify documentation gaps affecting medical necessity, coding accuracy, and defensibility, and present their findings to peers. Facilitated discussion will connect case findings to real-world payer audit trends, appeal risks, and best practices for strengthening provider documentation.

The session concludes with strategies for improving CDI workflows, enhancing provider engagement, and implementing ongoing peer review processes within CDI teams. Participants will leave with concrete tools and insights to elevate their CDI review skills and support compliant, defensible documentation across their organizations.
