Kelly started in IT in 2009 when Epic became the vendor of choice for the organization.   Kelly has been a HIM professional for 28 years.  She started her career as a coder for ASC and lab and moved to management at a few different facilities in the Rochester area throughout her career.    While working as the HIM manager at Strong Hospital for Release of Information, Deficiency Tracking and Assembly of records she had the opportunity to move to the IT department and help build the Epic system for the HIM modules.  While in IT she has been able to increase her team and manage many areas of the EMR that relate to HIM, document management, privacy and interoperability to make sure HIM professionals are involved in how things are released and captured in the Epic EMR.
