Director, AHIMA Board

Grissel is a seasoned Health Information Management (HIM) professional with over 30 years of experience. As the Premium Management RADV Manager at Medical Card System, Inc. in San Juan, PR, she oversees RADV audits mandated by CMS and other regulatory entities.
Her background includes roles such as Pre-Audit Manager, Coding and Benefits Specialist, and HIM Director in various healthcare settings in Puerto Rico. Grissel holds a master's degree in HIM from the University of Puerto Rico and multiple AHIMA certifications (RHIA, CCS, CCS-P, CDIP).
Active in AHIMA and the Puerto Rico Health Information Management Association, Grissel has held leadership roles in local and national committees and served twice as CA President. She is currently in her second year as AHIMA Board Director demonstrating her commitment to advancing the profession.
