Barbara Morrow retired from Samaritan in January of 2022 after a long career in healthcare management. She served as the Vice President of Long Term Care Services and Chief Compliance Officer for the health system for the past 20 years. As the VP of LTC, Barbara provided executive leadership and direction for all aspects of post-acute care services and ensured the attainment of the highest quality of resident care for Samaritan Keep Home (SKH), Samaritan Summit Village (SSV) and Samaritan Home Health (SHH). The VP of Long Term Care serves as the Administrator of Record for Samaritan Keep Home and was responsible for providing leadership, staff development, budgeting, and management of key services of Samaritan Keep Home and Samaritan Senior Village. The Chief Compliance Officer was responsible for all regulatory affairs of the organization.

Throughout her 20 year career with Samaritan she also had the opportunity to serve as executive leadership over Health Information Management, Infection Control, Case Management, Patient Family Services, Quality Assurance Performance Improvement and Surgical Services in interim capacities. She lead her Long Term Care teams through many successful NYS department of health surveys as well as lead the hospital through a very successful Joint Commission survey. Her field of expertise surrounds regulatory affairs and internal audit.

Barbara earned her Masters of Science in Health Service Administration from SUNY Institute of Technology at Utica/Rome. She is a licensed nursing home administrator. She is certified in Health Care Compliance and was certified with the American Academy of Professional Coders for many years.

Barbara is a member of the Health Care Compliance Association, and the United Way. Mrs. Morrow has been a Rotary member since 2005 and served as Clayton Rotary president in both 2011 and 2016. She is currently a member of the board of directors of Hospice of Jefferson County and the YMCA.
